"Danny, could I talk to you for a sec?" Lindsay asked, as she walked into their office, a sullen look on her face.

Looking at her face he knew something was wrong, "You can tell me anything Montana, you know that," he said in a comforting tone.

"I'm not sure how you're gonna take this," she said slowly.

He got up from his desk and walked over to her, taking her hands in his, then he caught Don lurking outside their office, as if he was waiting for something. But he pushed that out if his mind.

"Just tell me what it is," he urged, "we can get through anything."

Taking a dramatically deep breath, "Don and I have been seeing each other, outside of work."

It took him a minute to comprehend what he had just heard. HIS girl and best friend had been seeing each other? How? When? How long?

That dirty bastard. He knew how much Lindsay meant to him.

He dropped Lindsay hands and backed away, "What?" he ran his hands through his hair, trying to control himself.

"I can't say it again, Danny," Lindsay said softly, the corner of her lips slightly curling up.

"How long? What about us? I love you, and now you and that bastard, my supposed best friend are seeing each other?" he gestured wildly towards the door.

Then he noticed Don was laughing, "Yeah I bet you think this shits funny." He yelled at him, using every ounce of his will power not to kick his ass.

Then he looked down and saw Lindsay was laughing too.

"What the hell is so funny?" he demanded.

"April Fool's," Lindsay exclaimed, going to him and trying to wrap her arms around him.

He backed away before she could get to him, "What?" he asked. Now he was really confused.

"Man we got you good," Don said fully coming into the room now.

"That was a joke?" Danny asked. So they punk'd him? "I'm just gonna tell ya, you almost caught an ass kickin'," Danny promised Don.

Don just smiled at him, "I wouldn't dream of touchin' your girl, man."

Then finally wrapped his arm around Lindsay, "That was mean Montana, I may have to punish you later."
