A/N: So I was listening to Let Her Go by Passenger and it gave me so much Captain Swan feels that this was demanding to be written.

Song lyrics belongs to Passenger and characters belong to Adam & Eddy.

Well you only need the light when it's burning low

Only miss the sun when it starts to snow

Only know you love her when you let her go

He should have said it when he had the chance and now she is gone and she will never know. He should've stopped her, he could've tried harder to keep her safe and now she is nowhere to be seen. The darkness is consuming her and he knows how afraid she is, he can feel it in his bones. She is strong and he knows that she can fight the darkness but it still hurts that she is fighting it alone when they are supposed to be a team.

Staring at the bottom of your glass

Hoping one day you'll make a dream last

But dreams come slow and they go so fast

Its been almost 3 weeks since she has been gone and in those three weeks he has been either at the library reading all the books he could possibly read or in the Jolly Roger sulking away drinking bottles and bottles of rum.

He hasn't been able to sleep much, he tries but every time he closes his eyes he always see's her and her stupid smile staring back at him. The only time he gets anywhere near sleep is when he drank too much rum and it knocks him out. He dreams about the time when they were happy and carefree and he always wakes up crying out her name until his throat is to sore to even make a sound. He treasures those dreams soaking in every line of her face, the way she smiles, her laughter bubbling in the air because he never know the next time he will see her again.

You see her when you close your eyes

Maybe one day you'll understand why

Everything you touch surely dies

He despises her for telling him that she loves him. When somebody tells Killian Jones that they love him they always leave. Maybe it is better for him not to love at all then to be hurt by love time and time again. After all villains never get a happy ending.
