Meeting again

Their destinies were intertwined. They were bound to meet. They were even friends. They even became lovers. But, fate had a different plan. Fate messed with their life and turned everything upside down. Emma did what she knew best, ran. Lily was heartbroken, and devastated. The only person that understood her completely ran away. Emma had happiness, but chose solitude. She ran because no one loved her like that before Lily. Lily on the other hand was hit rock bottom, messed with some really bad people. She knew only one thing for sure, Emma left her.

15 years later

Emma and Regina were sitting at the coffee shop. The waitress brought them coffee and when she was pouring it Emma saw the mark on the forearm. "Lils" said Emma in shock.

"What? What did you say?"asked the waitress.

"Lily, is that really you? I thought you were dead?"asked Emma

"Who are you, and how do you know my name?"asked Lily

"It's me, Emma. We met when we were 15 in Minnesota. I never forgot you."

"Emma? What? How?"

"It's a long story which we'll explain on the way. Come on, get your stuff, we gotta go."

"I'm not going anywhere with you. Not after what you did last time. You won't screw me over this time."

"Lils, … come on. We were 15. What was I supposed to do?"

"You were supposed to stay with me. You were supposed to chose love instead of running away. I loved you. Damn, I still do. I still think about you and the nights we shared together, the way you loved me." at this point Lily was starting to cry.

Emma stood up and embraced her. She held her close and let her cry. "I'm so sorry Lily. I… I just wasn't ready for that. No one's ever loved me, not in that way anyway. I loved you too, I was just scared."

Lily looked up and saw tears in Emma's eyes. They were both crying. Both of them felt sorry for what happened, but they knew they had to overcome it. For a split second they saw in each other's eyes and everything was said. They didn't knew what happened next, but in one thing they were sure was gonna happen. And it did. They kissed. Everything stopped for a second They were lost in the moment. When the broke free from the embrace they looked around the diner. Regina had a smirk on her face and said "Do not stop at my account."

And so it began. The new chapter in their lives. How they were gonna tell everyone was a totally different story. For now they just decided to enjoy the moment.
