This is my first 'A Song of Ice And Fire' story! It's about Jaqen H'ghar and an original female character named Vinalia. This is the prologue in the view of Vinalia's daughter. And though the story will start out in a third person point of view, Vinalia's daughter will eventually re-tie into the story.

I can't remember how many days I spent watching my mother stare off into the vast grey horizon beyond the dark sea; a total of years perhaps, though I have children of my own now and as it were, I have long forgotten the days of my youth. The lessons once taught to my mother and then to me are constantly brought forth in a desperate means to quell ill behavior and bold childish rebellions held against my maternal commands. And I find myself wishing in those frustratingly chaotic moments that she were there once more as an ally against the small rebellious children I had given life to. I often imagine her frail hand on my shoulder, a warm smile on her slightly sunken face as she tries to hold in a kind-hearted laugh at my failed attempts to gain control of my wild children. 'You were just as much as terror as they are!' she would laugh as I chased a joyfully screaming Dilenia across the sand. 'This is the gods granting me a just revenge!' she would tease. But it was shouted in good fun as she would take off, albeit slowly, after my son. He would attempt to toddle quickly after his older sisters, giggling toothlessly, excited by the carefree chase going on around him. And my mother's laughter, though her hair had turned grey and her skin had lost its once golden glow, had never sounded so young and happy.
I would watch, however, as her eyes would always turn from her grandchildren for just a split moment to look out across the ocean. Her eyes would fix upon the horizon, where the gentle sky met the rough sea. Her expression would drop for just one moment in time, her wide smile faltering as she searched for something.
Or someone.
