I saw this quote on a lot of profiles of my favorite people and then I started to think… SPITFIRE!
So this is a romance whump, hope you enjoy it :)
Wally West and Artemis Crock, engaged for 5 months, were on a motorcycle and were speeding at a hundred miles per hour.
"WALLY!" Artemis screamed in his ear, "Slow down! You're going to fast!" She said with a hint of fear in her voice.
Wally smiled sadly, although Artemis couldn't see it. "Come on Arty this is fun!"
"No, it's not Wally! It's suicide! Now slow down Baywatch!" She yelled at him.
"… Tell me you love me first." He said in a deep serious tone.
"… I love you Wally." She said sincerely and the gears in her head started turning.
"Now hold me tight." Wally said showing some of his sadness when looking back at her.
Artemis holds on for all it's worth and nudges her head in his shoulder. She looks up at him, "Wally?" She says in a sweet child's voice.
"Artemis, I need you to take off my helmet and put it on." His green eyes filled with love.
"Wally…" Artemis said her eyes glassy. She knew what was happening now. It was not that he wouldn't stop, it was that he couldn't stop.
"Artemis… please" He pleaded with her. She closed her eyes, tears dripping down and she took off his helmet putting it on and holding the boy she loved.
"I love you so much Artemis, you have to know that, you're my Spitfire and I love you so much." Wally said putting his head on hers.
"I love you too Wally, you're my idiot." She said and kissed his cheek, he laughed his last laugh.
"I love you Artemis."
"I love you Wally."
In the newspaper the next day, a motorcycle had crashed into a building due to break failure. The funeral was held a week later. On his tombstone it read:
Here lies Wallace Rudolph West
1994 – 2016
Beloved son, nephew, friend, fiancé
A true man, that gave his life for the woman he truly loves.
Sixty-eight years later Artemis Crock passed away. She never married and died a spinster. But anyone who knew her knew she died happy because now she was in heaven and reunited with Wally…
Here lies Artemis Crock
1994 – 2084
Beloved daughter, sister, aunt, niece, friend, fiancé
A Spitfire
To this day the tombstones stand, next to each other and intertwined forever with love.
I wrote this and cried a little bit in the middle…
So enjoy my story and for anyone who cried *gives a tissue*
