Hajime Hinata.
It was the first thing that came to Sonia Nevermind's mind when she woke up.
He was of the legendery hero her people waited. With his ahoge and white shirt they would bring prosperity to Novoselic!.
How naive she was.
She didn't want to be Hinata's wife just because of that legend. He was smart, intelligent, and calm in hard situations. But he showed to lack of being intimate because of his shyness.
Who was she kidding, she loved Hajime Hinata.
She was setting in the beach, thinking about everything that happened. Her despair, her friends, and her country.
She couldn't stop the tears falling down her cheeks.
She hugged her knees and cried silently until she felt a hand on her shoulder.
When she looked up her blue teary eyes clashed with red and green ones. She gasped and quickly wiped her eyes before standing up and offering a fake friendly smile.
"What is it, Hinata-kun? Did you need anything." She tried to hide her sadness, but her tone of voice didn't trick Hinata. Especially that he just saw her crying.
"I was about to ask you the same thing, Sonia." He said looking at her worriedly.
Despite the swelling of feelings inside of her heart she managed a smile. "It was nothing."
"That's wrong!" Hajime said with determination, shocking the princess.
"Sonia, you are not okay! Everyone can see that you are troubled." Hajime said placing a hand on her shoulder.
Sonia couldn't hold it anymore. She buried her face in Hajime chest and started crying.
In the beginning Hajime was shocked, but wrapped his arms protectively around Sonia. Somehow he felt guilty for not being able to help his friend.
After a while, they found themselves laying on the ground, wrapped in each other's arms. Hajime couldn't help but to blush. He was in a sandy beach hugging a princess! He thought that this was maybe his talent of luck.
"Hajime." Hajime looked down and blushed.
Sonia was smiling lovely with dry tears on her cheeks. "Do you think it's okay for a princess to feel homesick?"
Despite the heat raising in his face, he thought about the most satisfying and logical answer he can ever think of.
"I think it's okay. I mean, even though you are a princess, you are still a girl who lived her entire life in Novoselic. It's natural that you will miss home. Afterall, that's what every human being feels when away from their homes." He said with a warm smile looking deeply at her blue eyes.
She unwrapped her eyes from around him and placed her hands on his cheek. Hajime blushed deeply as she placed her forehead on his.
"If I said that I am ready to live the rest of my life away from my country and stay here with you, what are you going to say?" She asked innocently.
"I...I..."
"I love you." Sonia said smiling with a tint of red on her cheeks.
Please remember our promise, Hajime.
Hajime could feel her soft breath on his lips. He could feel their lips getting closer and started to close his eyes.
Let's meet tomorrow!
His eyes snapped open and he pushed Sonia a little.
Sonia was both shocked and surprised, she looked at Hajime.
Hajime looked away with a sad expression. "We shouldn't do this..."
Sonia felt her heart break, as if a hammer came down on her chest.
She quickly stood up and wiped the sand from her skirt before bowing and leaving Hajime.
As Sonia walked away, she could feel new tears blurring her vision. She should have known that he still loves her.
"I am ready to give up being a normal girl, but I will never give you up." She remembered telling him when they were still in the game.
I am so scared of losing you, but I refuse to stop loving you.
Hajime was still laying on the sand. He took a familiar gaming clip from his pocket and looked at it.
As long as you walk to the future we created together, I will never disappear.
