A/N: This is a slightly different writing style than I've
done before so tell me what you think. I'm thinking about doing a
series of Han x Leia oneshots. So please let me know what you think of
it.
He really wonders why he likes it so much sometimes.
Being called a nerf-herder ("who're you callin' scruffy?") and being able to respond in kind. Thousands of nicknames (Your Worship, Highness, Princess) and just having to chose one. Watching her face contort into an infuriated scowl. Trying to make her jealous, realizing that she was trying to make him jealous (an extremely pleasant surprise). having to look hard to find moments when her guard was down (and finding them).
Sparking, explosive chemistry that would happen at the most unexpected times, surprising even him (though he tried not to show it). Glares in his direction that he could purposely misconstrue (preferably loudly). Jolts in his stomach (that he hurriedly explained away as indigestion). Finding out what the wrong thing to do was (by doing it).
Snickers from pilots that clearly bothered her (he got used to them very quickly). Getting rid of drunken admirers for her (for which she'd actually thanked him). Enduring her scornful stares (secretly he didn't mind - at least she was looking at him). Caring a whole lot more than he'd thought he would (and growing to care even more).
Then he realizes he doesn't like it at all - he loves it, and that is entirely different.
