Author's Story Notes:Deals rather heavily with family, and somewhat heavily with world history, in a rather fascinating manner. Please read, review/comment, and enjoy.
This is a good story, but not everything that'll come up in it is good, or should be acted upon.
Chapter 1.): "The Ladies' Night Playtime."
Chapter 1 Beginning Author's Notes:Both of these women Want to be good, now, that is. However, not all their Desires are good.
Regina Mills was seated in her study in her office, trying desperately not to think of her friend, Emma Swan. The two women shared a very complex relationship, as Regina was the adoptive mother of Emma's son, Henry... needless to say, this brought very weird emotions into the mix that they didn't need, nor did Henry, who apparently had hopped a bus to Boston, or New York, to visit his birth-mother when he got discontent with life in Storybrooke!
Henry Mills was pretty clearly a very troubled kid, but Regina had found her greatest delight in caring for the young boy, so she didn't want to give him up.
Some hours after her 'shift' ended for the day, Regina got hit with an idea: Invite Emma over to watch a movie she had recently gotten, apparently about yet another young man who's situation resembled their own son's, a film titled "The 10 Commandments", apparently starring Charlton Heston as a certain "Moses" character., this would serve as 'fodder' for a discussion of their difficulties.
Love wasn't the problem here, in fact, more precisely now: lack thereof wasn't the problem. If anything, within Regina's heart there was a little TOO MUCH affection for Emma, and in distinctly WRONG ways!
Regina knew as she dialed Emma's phone number that she'd have to keep that under control if she didn't want this friendly showing of a movie to turn into a disaster; and trying to kiss her son's other mother would do just that to their evening and friendship would be ruined practically forever!
"I'll be there, and, in addition, I'll bring some snacks... see you soon." Emma responded, acquiescing to Regina's invitation to hang out in kind of a 'girls night', as it were.
After the movie, Regina made her point: they have to keep it platonic: friendship is okay, but anything more will only give Henry massive issues later on in life, and they both agreed that that wouldn't be good for anyone of their family- and that's what they were now that Regina had adopted Emma's son: Family!
End Chapter 1 Author's Notes: The end for now- maybe continued later on, depending on ideas/contributions from fans/support. Please tell me what you think.
