The thin drops of water bashed against the thick gravel on the decrepit street. The sun shone dimly through the bantam spaces between each cloud. I looked up at the sky, feeling the gelid raindrops patter across my pale skin. After a few minutes of peace and quiet Alice ran from the door, her face full of panic and fright, "Jasper," she took a pause, trying to attract my attention, "Jasper come inside, Carlisle must speak with you immediately." Reluctantly, I followed my wife into the house, full of brightly colored Christmas decorations.

"What is it Carlisle?" I asked, my voice calm and content, hoping I could change the stress level of the room.

"Someone is here to see you. I believe her name was…Maria." He whispered quietly into my ear, attempting to keep the conversation only between him and me.

I walked with great aptitude and competence toward the front door, fixing my mood to fit the right affection of the anonymous conversation. I slowly twisted the knob on the glass door, opening it to the aged newborn by the name of Maria.

As I opened the door, I saw a ravishing woman. Her feet were slipped into beautiful stiletto high heels, her toenails painted in candy apple red. Her legs stood long and muscular, smooth and glistening. Her body was wrapped in a sleeveless, maroon dress that ran to the floor. Her neck, long and stringy gave her the perfect body posture. Her hair shone bright in the conspicuous sunlight, full of body and touched up with hidden blonde highlights. And as for her face, her cheeks were held together by flawless cheekbones, her lips covered in skin color gloss, her eyelashes painted in black mascara, her eyelids disguised in dark red eye shadow, and her eyes were filled with a pale green, showing her long-lasting jealousy of Alice. Her light fragrance filled the atmosphere with jasmine and vanilla.

I opened my mouth to speak, but no words came out. This confused me, and to this day I don't understand the complexity of this interesting scenario. Anyway, I went to speak again and words came out, "Um, er, he-hello…what would you like?" I stuttered and swallowed my words, but she seemed to hear me talking, nevertheless.

"Oh my goodness, Jasper, I can't believe it's you! I haven't seen you in one, maybe two decades, I believe!" Without expressing concern about my dear wife, Alice, she wrapped her arms around me as if I were her lost teddy bear from childhood. I couldn't seem to let go, as her powerful force of love had obviously been oppressed upon me.

I answered in a polite tone, "Great to see you Maria, please, come in." She followed me fancifully, and kept her reasons for intruding a secret. We entered the living room, and Maria peered at all of my vampire family. She specifically stopped at the sight of Bella and Nessie, wondering who they were and why their scent was so defined. After a long pause of silence and confusion, she spoke.
