Why is there an owl in the kitchen?
Lily Evans thought she was a normal girl unlike her sister petunia thought, lily had been called many names but the one that stuck with her the most was, freak, what her sister called her most the time. Lily Evans is able to do many things that can't be explained like flying off her swing at the play ground, this is why she's a freak. All she wanted was her sister to think she was normal, she guessed it didn't help that she was best friends with Severus Snape who her sister didn't approve of.
This is what lily thought about as she walked down the stairs to the kitchen. She was awoken from her thoughts by a piercing scream that came from her now very awake sister petunia
"Tunie what is the matter" said lily as she went to see what happened her sister may be mean to her but she still cared about her sister.
"WHY IS THERE AN OWL IN THE KITCHEN?" yelled Petunia as lily and violet and Dakota come to see what was wrong.
"How on earth would I know!" said lily
"I don't care just get rid of it!"
"Fine give-"lily interrupted herself when something caught her eye; the owl had a letter "wait, its holding a letter in its beak!"
Lily carefully walked up to the bird and retrieved the letter and fount it was addressed to her; she couldn't believe what she found inside:

Dear lily Evans,
We are pleased to inform you that you have been accepted in to Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. Please find enclosed list of all necessary books and equipment. Term starts

The owl flew away and Petunia stalked up stairs Lily was speech less Severus was telling the truth I am a witch she thought. She was ripped from her thoughts when someone knocking on her front door, she gave her parents the letter to read, as she went to the front door. She opened the door to see an official looking man with unruly black hair and what looked to be a wand in his hand; she was guessing it was a wand at least.
"Hello how may I help you" lily Said as nicely as she could.
"I am Charlus Potter is this Evans residents" asked the man with messy black hair now known as Charlus Potter.
"Why yes it is" Dakota Evans said "how can we help you today Mr. Potter"
"I have been sent by Dumbledore the headmaster of Hogwarts to explain a few things about lily being a wizard"
"Well come on in " a very friendly Violet Evans said as she Invited Mr. Potter in to her sitting room. Lily took a seat where both her parents were beside her and Charlus potter was in an armchair across from them.
"So to get started Lily has been accepted in to Hogwarts, will she be attending?" said Charlus
Lily looked at both her parents with a pleading look on her face "well I see no problem with it as long as you behave." said Mr. Evans
"I will I swear I will" said lily excitedly "So I can go?"
"Yes you may go darling" said Mrs. Evans
"Since that matter is resolved you'll need to get your supplies in diagon ally, "said Mr. Potter said" which reminds me I need to take my own son, James, to get his supplies you may go with us."
"Well I have no problem with that you may go" said
"Well, I really must be on my way,'' said Charlus Potter as he stood up. Lily was too busy thinking about going to Hogwarts.
