His hand knocked slowly on the window.
He could almost hear the silence of the sleeping village through the rain, it was screaming. He was soaking wet and cold but he didn't notice.
Crouching and bleeding, but not hurting.
His eyes were closed and his mind concentrated on only one thing. His legs were shaking from the run through the woods and from the jumping over the last couple of rooftops. He had used his last chakra to get here in time. He knew it was in the last minute. He leaned his forehead against the window, not strong enough to hold it up by himself.
He heard the window bolt squeak and nicked forward when she pulled it open but managed not to fall into her room. He opened his eyes but didn't have enough strength to look up at her. He could feel her warm breath and first then he also felt how cold he was. He shivered and saw his own breath mix with hers in the air.
Her warm hands touched his cheeks and turned his face up, towards hers. He saw a pink blur but his eyes couldn't focus. Something varm touched his ears and he could only guess it was her sweet voice. It was just a grumble to him but it let him know that he was finally home.
