Confusion
And yet again, I felt myself staring at him, his shoulder length black hair tucked behind his ears. His dark brown eyes surveying another girl. My stomach lurched. Did he actually like that girl? The girl sitting beside me? My best friend? I shook the thought out of my mind and tried to concentrate on my Potions book before me.
I could feel James's eyes on me. It always left me at a wonder of how he never caught me staring at his friends. It was actually amazing that I would look at Lupin, occasionally. He was a nice and would never get in trouble but he was a little shabby.
His eyes were probably set on a different girl, also. The only eyes set on me were the hazel ones of James and that greasy haired boy, Severus, my old friend, who always got bullied by James. And then there was Peter. He was also a nice boy. Would occasionally help me. He was very small, though, and desperate for friends.
I caught myself thinking about how Sirius felt about me. I saw my friend smirk at Sirius after reading a not on her desk. That was from him? Why would he write to her? Or even smile at her? Gosh his smile was cute….Focus, Lily, Focus. What's wrong with you?
You have a sudden urge for him after he bumped you in the hallway. My friend suddenly nodded as she set down another note. Sirius smiled and nodded his head back. Then he turned around to look at a mirror and start talking to it. That's weird. Why would you talk to a mirror? And why would James's face be staring up through the mirror?
Your going crazy Lily! Just focus on your Potions book. You have to finish this chapter and then you can look up. Blah, blah, blah is all the book said. Why can't you concentrate? Uggghhh! Focus. Whose talking now?! Oh, its Professor Slughorn.
Got to pay attention. Stop thinking about Sirius. Oh, thank god, homework is reading this chapter. Now you can concentrate on your homework without being interrupted by Sirius. I got up and started to walk out of the classroom behind everybody else. Someone touched my shoulder! It better not be James! Oh! I spun around facing a very handsome boy. Its Sirius! Don't blush! Focus on not blushing!
"Looked like Snivellus was taken an interest in you," he laughed. Wow he had a great laugh. A great voice, too. Focus!
"Well that's great that someone responsible has taken an interest in me." I glanced at James as I said this. He turned white and looked away. Sirius looked at me strangely and then said, "Well, actually, I think that someone smelly, greasy, and disgusting has taken a liking to you." James looked a little more pleased at this.
"At least hes responsible!" I said lamely and looked to James's expression but he wasn't there. Instead, Snivel- I mean Severus was in his place glancing at me.
"Ya, Snivellus has defiantly taken a liking to you." Sirius laughed again and gave me a pat on the back.
"I would feel bad for you but you said he was responsible. So, lets see what happens in the future. As he left I stood there thinking of what he said and did. He patted me on my back! Then I wondered what he wrote to my friend, Amy.
Being a little modest Lily? A ton of boys eyes are set on you! Well, that was my first chapter. Yes, I know its a little short (okay maybe a LOT short) but I want to split up the chapters and you know how it always takes up like 5 pages in writing it and then 1 in typing it. I hope you liked it, though. And I have an idea! I will not post another chapter until there are 3 reviews or more. Also, I will be slow on posting chapters because schools starting and I will be busy!
