Joey looked around. "Where's scumbag?" he asked. "Who?" Katie asked. "Murdoc. Who else?" he asked. "Oh. In his Winnebago." Katie answered. "Shouldn't he have been out here by now?" Joe asked. "I think." said Kate. Something didn't seem right. Joey rose up from the booth and headed to the car park. "Where are you going?" Katliyn asked as she followed him curiously.
Joe walked up to the Winnebago door. He drew in a deep breath and opened the door. Katliyn and Joey were shocked at what they found. Murdoc was unconscious on the floor.
"Is he dead?" Joey asked. Murdoc was laying face down with an empty
vodka
bottle grasped tightly in his head. Katliyn walked over to him and felt
for his pulse in his neck. "No." said she. "He's still alive." "Oh."
said
Joey. He felt neutral. Joe wanted Murds to die but yet he didn't. "He
looks
like he had been drinking too much." Katliyn said. "Let him live or
let him die." Joey thought. He was trapped in a mental conflict.
Finally,
he said: "Call 911!" "What?" asked Katliyn. "You heard me. Call 911!"
Joey
repeated. Katie nodded. Then like a cheetah after its prey, she leapt
to
the phone. While she was calling for help, Joey looked down at Murdoc
and
shook his head. "I don't know why I'm helping you, scumbag." said he.
Then
he began caring for Murds.
It took hours for the ambulance to come. When it came, Murdoc was in
coma.
The paramedics had trouble lifting him up because he smelled horrible.
Once they got him on the stretcher, Joey, Katliyn, and Trevor followed
them to the ambulance. This was going to be a long night.
Katliyn, Joey, and Trevor waited in the waiting room until the others came and got them. Murdoc was in the hospital for three days. When he was released, Murds continued on with his life.
