Going Home

Sam Winchester sat on a bench in a park. The grass was a mildew green, and smelled freshly cut. Children were playing in the background. He held a large old black book. If one looked on the front you could see the words H ly Bi le written on the front.

The young man had a look of fierce concentration on his face. After a moment his eyes brightened.

"I've got it," he whispered, he looked up into the sky, "Thank you lord almighty!"

Sam bounded into the motel room practically singing, "And the very God of peace sanctify you wholly; and I pray God your whole spirit and soul and body be preserved blameless unto the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ…..1st Thessalonians 5:23"

"What the hell are you talking about," Dean moaned, he was having a particularly nice dream.

"I found it!" Sam smiled giddily, "They can't take what's not really yours!"

"What?"

"And it shall be that whoever calls on the name of the Lord shall be saved. Acts 2:21," he smiled continuing while Dean shook his head, "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life…..John 3:16."

Dean sighed, "Sam."

"Please Dean…pray with me, ask him, believe."

The demon Lilith had fled the girls body, and now she was in Ruby's old one. She sneered, she was finally going to get that boy, finally.

"Well, as much fun as I'm having….sick him boys," she whistled.

Three large black dogs came barreling into the room. The snarled, and lashed their teeth at Dean and Sam. Drooling large gobs of grey sticky liquid. Dean closed his eyes, ready for pain.

The hounds approached the brothers. Then the stopped about three feet away, wining and lowering their heads.

"GET THEM…WHAT ARE YOU DOING?"

Sam smiled looking at his brother, who smiled in wonder.

"They can't," the elder said.

"And why not?" The white eyed demon snarled.

The smile left neither males face, "Dean can't sell what's not his, Jesus Christ is protecting him."

Lilith shuddered at the name, "Maybe I can't have your souls now…but I'll have your lives."

Sam nodded, reaching out to grab Dean's hand he said, "Yes, but we will go on to a better place, somewhere you can never go."

Lilith growled, then reached into herself, ready to use her powers, and kill the boys.

The boys stood ready, they would go together.

Then a white flash of light showed blasting both males off their feet, as well as the demon.

Samuel and Dean Winchester held onto one another, staring into one another's eyes, hazel into green. Then they closed there eyes for the last time, a smile adorning each face. They were going home…finally.

The demon smirked at her handiwork, they were dead, finally…

Somehow though, even though her enemies were dead, she couldn't take this as a win.

'But…' she thought, 'They were right…I'll never get to go home.'

A single tear fell down the face of the demon who could not and would not get to where the boys now were.

She scowled and kicked the hound nearest to her, "Come on, we got work to do."
