"Eddie?" I asked hopefully.
"Not a chance. Why do I even have to have a nickname? I like being called Edward. Why does it have to be shortened?"
"You call me by a nickname all the time." I remind him.
"Would you prefer me to call you Isabella?" I cringed.
"No. I like being called Bella, especially by you. But I think I should have a nickname for you. It would make us more connected." I state reasonably.
"It would be hard for us to be more connected." He says, his eyes melting into mine as I become a puddle of happiness on the floor.
"I know! I've got it." He looks at me, waiting. One eyebrow slightly raised.
"Teddy." He just stairs at me, looking a bit taken aback.
"Erm..."
"It's Teddy or Teddie Eddie!" I tell him, grinning cheekily.
"Teddy's good."
