Just Like Daddy
A bright light shined in Jackie's face, waking her up. At first she was alarmed but her fear quickly disappeared when she saw what was going on.
"Sloan what are you doing little buddy?" She asked the young child who was shining a flashlight in her face.
"Me be like dada." He replied.
Jackie smiled, Nick had gotten each of the kids a small flashlight from the lab and they loved it, apparently Sloan the most.
"I know you want to be like daddy sweetheart but you can't shine the light in people's eyes, it'll make an owie on their eyes." She told him.
"Owie?"
"Yep, and besides that, it's the middle of the night, you should be asleep."
"Me not want to seep, me want to play."
"I know buddy, but you have to sleep, it's still dark outside." Sloan frowned.
"Me seep with Skittles?" He asked.
"It's Karlie's turn to sleep with Skittles, but tomorrow night it's your turn." She assured him as she got out of bed.
She led Sloan back into his own room.
He laid down, grabbed his teddy bear, and then Jackie tucked him back in.
"Goodnight sweetheart, mommy loves you." Jackie told him as she leaned down and kissed his forehead before leaving his room.
As she went back to bed Jackie wondered if she'd ever again sleep through the night without one of the kids waking her up, at this point she doubted it!
