A woman crouched over a curled up body on the marbled floor, clutching a faintly glowing heart firmly in the palm of her cold hand. The man whimpered as she tightened her grasp while she allowed edges of a smile to grace her countenance.
"Did you know that your heart resides in the center of your chest? Between the lungs?" She gently tapped a manicured nail on the spot she had previously removed the organ in her hand and chuckled. "Most people consider their heart to dwell in the left side of their chest, but alas it is only tipped that way, making you feel the beats more prominently on that side." She removed her finger from his skin and idly began brushing it against the bloodied heart, surveying the older man's opened shirt. "Pity you will not be able to share this information with anyone my dear, for I imagine this will be the last hour you will draw breath."
"What do you want from me?" The man finally cried out as he tried desperately to wriggle from the magical bonds the held him almost completely immobile.
"Why, the prophecy, of course. A little bird told me that you were the one to personally take down the prophecy of a Savior defeating the Queen of Hearts and I'm here to collect. Let's not play these foolish games. I have other resources should you choose not to answer my question." The brunette woman stood and looked down arrogantly at the man. "I just assumed that a man without a family would be far simpler to manipulate. Haven't you any survival instincts?"
"I will not tell you, you bitch!" He spat angrily as he struggled again. "I took an oath."
"Goodness me, well I suppose I was correct in my original assumption. Such a pity, too. You would have been useful to me had you been more - willing." The brunette shook her head with a quiet sigh before crushing the thumping heart into blackened dust. The man instantly became lifeless and she wiped her hands clean with a frown. Drawing out her wand, she waved it, letting a dicentra spectabilis appear in her hand.
Inhaling the sweet scent slowly, she smiled once more before tossing the flower next to the Unspeakable and vanished in blue cloud of smoke.
