Euphoria

A/N: Did anyone ever notice that when House leaves the cops apartment in Euphoria I, he tells Cameron "I'll see you at home?". Well I took that literally.

House wondered why she hadn't told him.

Being the Cameron she was, she probably did it because she hadn't wanted House to either fire and/or beat the crap out of Foreman.

He knew for sure it would be the beating up thing, as he did like the neurologist. But it bothered him because she should have been mad at her colleague. For stealing her article and poking her with a possibly infested needle. He should yell at her, she needed to grow a backbone. She needed to stand up once in her life and possibly beat the crap out of someone and feel good about it.

But he couldn't yell at her when she sat like that on the couch. Knees tucked under her, hair in messy wet curls around her shoulders, a shirt that was too big for her and red rimmed eyes.

No, all he could do was offer her a cup of the steaming tea she liked so much and put his arms around her shoulder.

"Are you mad?"

He would swear she was one of those five-year-old who had just dunked her father's favorite watch down the toilet. Now she was even worse because a five-year-old only cries for a few minutes so lighten the punishment.

"What should I be mad about?" he asked, eyes glued to the TV that played a show he had never heard about.

"Going into that apartment" she sounded even guiltier which caused House to roll his eyes and pulled her tighter against him.

"You are such a girl"

"I thought you liked that about me"

"Only at special times" he winked at her, relieved that she let herself smile and lean against him.

He knew that in a few hours he would be making fun of her in front of the pretty English one. Almost humiliating her when she would spit out ideas that even she knew were crazy.

But it was for those few hours after work that he lived for.

Hope someone likes it. It was just a complete random thought I got when I was watching the DVD's for the second season.
