"You can always come back…"

David tried to calm the crying boy down.

"N-No, David. Don't you know anything? I might never come back." Mumbled Max.

Max's parents wanted Max home, as they started to suspect he might feel at home there.

They were right.

"I-I'm not sure if I'll come back..." Max couldn't help but sob.

His green haired friend stepped forward and put a pale hand on his back.

"Shh. It'll be okay. You will come back. I know it."

A pale boy stepped up.

"Yeah. And if you don't, Nikki and I'll steal Quater-Master's bus and try to find you again."

Gwen rolled her eyes.

"Yeah, and have the police get up here again and blame us for getting kids to drive the bus. Real original."

Gwen, the camp counselor, was obviously referencing to the first day Nikki and Neil arrived at camp, and the trio tried to escape using Quater-Master's yellow bus, and hitting David in the chest 2 times that day.

Yeah, with the bus.

They were good times.

But now, it was time to go.

And of cource, Max didn't want to.

He would go back to his stupid abusive parents.

Back to a normal life.

Back to where he belonged.

But as Max looked around the camp, he realised, this was where he felt like he belonged.

But his parents would never let.

But when Max looked at David and Gwen, he realised, the counselors felt like his true parents.

But he had...No. He didn't have friends.

Nikki and Neil were the only friends he'd ever had.

It sounded cheesy enough, but no matter where he went, camp would always be with him.

It was like the saying. You can take the kid out of the camp, but you can't take the camp out of the kid.

Max turned around to face his friends.

"I'll come back. No matter what. I'll bring the bus."

David smiled. He knew, without a doubt, that Max truly had Camp-Campbell potential.

Max turned around without looking back, knowing that he would be back.

In his heart.

No matter what.
