((A/n … Insanely out of character I'm sure. LoL..))

Pace

Josh was pacing around his office, impatiently. His toe would meet the door, and he'd spin around, his legs making strong strides towards his desk, until his toe met that. He had been doing this, continuously for 47 minutes, 34 seconds exactly, and it was at this time that Sam burst into his office, stood back away from his path, and watched him. 7 minutes, 56 seconds later, Donna poked her head in the door, raised an eyebrow, and joined Sam. She nudged him.

"What is he doing?" She asked, assuming he had more of a clue then she.

"Not…sure. I wish I knew though. He won't even stop. He's cracking, or something." Sam shrugged and continued watching the crazed man. Josh had changed his path some, and now wasn't getting so close to the door. He was in fact aware of his audience, who were entering his office without permission via the door.

"Sam? Where are…never mind. What are you doing?" C.J was looking for Sam, and had caught a glimpse of him gawking at something in Josh's office. The 'gawkee' was Josh. The 'gawkers' then became three, with C.J sliding in beside Sam, asking him what Donna had asked, and getting the same answer.

"I've been standing here for about 15 minutes, Donna about 8 minutes. He's been pacing for almost and hour. I saw him doing it earlier. He's going insane. I say we call the men in white jackets, and send him away." Sam was staring at Josh, who paused, looked up at Sam, and then continued.

"Hmmm…" Donna mumbled. C.J looked at her. "Hmmm."

"What, Donna? Have any idea why he's doing this?" C.J was staring half at Josh, half at Donna. Donna had no clue. She shook her head and C.J's full attention snapped back to Josh. He was quite the entertainment. He was also wearing a hole in the carpet.

23 minutes, 15 seconds after C.J's arrival.

"So, you have no idea why he's pacing like that?" Toby asked, also unable to tear his eyes from the seemingly confused Josh. "None at all?"

"Not a clue. But he sure is attracting a lot of attention. He's popular." Donna looked around her at the growing crowd, consisting of Sam, C.J, Toby, Leo, a couple interns, and herself. They were all staring at Josh. It probably looked like they were trying to undress him with their eyes.

"Hey, I'm hungry." Sam started complaining, 42 minutes and 37 minutes later. "Let's…order out. Who wants pizza?"

Everyone agreed they were hungry, and let Sam order out. Soon, the pizza arrived, and it was like a silent pizza party. All of then were chewing earnestly at the mounds of crust, cheese, and pepperoni. After the pizza was gone, a few more interns joined them, and Abbey Bartlet had found them all standing there like idiots, though she joined them herself. It was an odd congregation.

"I'm starting to get dizzy. He was to stop this. He's going to make himself sick, and it's not good for him." Donna looked worried. She pushed her way through the small crowd, and poked Josh on the shoulder. He jumped slightly, and then looked down at Donna and smiled.

"Hey." Josh looked beyond Donna, at the crowd, then back at Donna, questioningly.

"You've been…pacing. Nonstop, for a good portion of the day. What have you been thinking about?" Donna asked him, eagerly awaiting an answer.

"Well…It's one of life's unanswered questions. One nobody else can answer correctly, because there is no correct answer that is logical." Josh looked at everyone. "You know what I mean?"

Everyone nodded, or muttered agreement. All they wanted to know was what the question was. What could it possibly be? Josh started talking again, and everyone's attention focused on him again.

"So, do any of you guys know which came first," He was pacing again, "the chicken or the egg?"
