A/N: This is just a short one-shot I made when I became so bored one Wednesday evening. Definitely not like my other one-shots. They're just short ramblings from Nick reminiscing their summer in L.A. where it all started. I've been wanting to write angst but I just can't. I'm having trouble with words and exams week is coming up. Sigh.

Disclaimer: You know the drill. I don't own Jonas and never will.

Summer and Strawberries

Those were the two things she reminds me of. Summer and strawberries.

That summer in L.A. was perfect.

And it probably was the best summer of our young lives.

We never expected anything to happen between us but something did.

It was the summer I fell in love with Macy Misa.

When she came to L.A. to spend her summer with us, I couldn't hide how happy I felt.

I wasn't supposed to be glad that she was gonna be around for more or less two months

but surprisingly, I was.

With Joe, Kevin, and Stella being busy filming Forever April,

I got to spend a lot of time with her.

Walking down the beach and talking by the poolside, every moment I was with her,

I felt so carefree and contented.

If there was one thing I liked about being alone with Macy was that you couldn't help but

laugh and smile along with her.

She was like sunshine compressed into a very petite body.

The moment she flashes her smile at you,

you can't help but make her want to smile more.

Her laugh is so contagious that you find yourself laughing over nothing.

It was like being a kid all over again when you're with Macy.

Having her around made everyday

a little bit brighter and a little bit more colorful.

She makes every little thing seem a lot bigger,

nothing left out and all equally important.

Who knew shredding 'Twinkle, Twinkle, Little Star' on a guitar could be fun?

We were on the pool side when a gust of wind made her hair sway towards my face.

She smelled like strawberries and vanilla,

sweet and gentle.

I know I'm diabetic but at that moment I wanted to kiss her

just to see if she tasted the way she smelled.

And what she said after that almost melted me that I was glad we were interrupted.

Neither of us could deny it anymore,

we liked each other.

And eventually, our mutual attraction turned to love

just like how that comforting sourness of a strawberry turns into blissful sweetness.

People said it was just a summer romance.

A kind of romance filled with fun and laughter.

The kind of romance that just like summer is bound to end.

But we proved them wrong.

Dead wrong.

Here we are, a few years later, sitting side by side.

I kissed the tip of her nose then her lips.

The same old sparks were still there

And I hope this love, just like summer,

Would never end.

A/N: I'm so stuck on Jonas LA that I wanted to write about Nick and Macy's "Summer Romance". I originally wrote this with a sad ending but I have a knack for changing endings that I changed this one too. I'm quite indecisive sometimes. Reviews! :D
