"Higher. Higher." repeated Wilhelmina in that tone that made Christina wish she could break her neck. "I said higher, Carlotta."
"It's Christina." she answered trying really hard not to needle the other woman.
"Whatever. Christina?" she asked slowly "Which part of higher didn't you understand?"
"See, I told you this already but now I'm deadly serious; higher than this I'll be at forbidden ground."
Willie looked at her straight in the eye.
