"You lied to me." Rukia said.

Ichigo looked at her. "Whatdya mean, Rukia?" He asked, confused by the raven haired girl's statement.

"You lied to me when you describing these hammock things to me. You said it was impossible to be sad or upset in a hammock." She explained.

The two were on vacation with Ichigo's family in Okinawa. They were staying in a beach house. Behind it was a small group of palm tree and an hammock had been set up there. Ichigo had brought Rukia out to the Hammock when it was dark outside so they could look up at the stars. He had told her it was impossible to be sad or upset in an Hammock. Ichigo had noticed she had been a little unhappy looking while they were on vacation. He had hoped this would cheer her up. Ichigo scratched his head. "Well, I've never met anyone who was able to be sad in a Hammock before." He said.

Rukia crossed her arms. "Well, now you have." She replied.

Ichigo flipped onto his side, resting his head in his hand. "What are you sad about? You've been down this entire vacation. I thought you'd be excited about coming here. You even looked sad when Yuzu and you went into the chappy store. And you didn't buy anything!" He looked at her.

She avoided his eyes. "It's nothing."

Ichigo raised an eyebrow. "It's not nothing. Tell me." He demanded.

"No!" She replied, being stubborn.

Rukia squeaked as Ichigo wrapped his arms around her, pulling her to him roughly. He slowly kissed her neck, reaching up to her jaw, then her cheek. He whispered into her ear. "Tell me...Please." He said.

Rukia blushed, though it wasn't visible in the darkness. She started slowly. "I...I kind of miss everybody. Everybody in Soul Society. It feels like I've been gone for so long. My friends, my family..." She said.

He brushed a hand through her hair. "Do you want to leave?" He said softly.

She flipped around so she was facing him. "No! I don't want to leave you---!" But she was cut off.

She was cut off by Ichigo's soft lips pressing against hers. Rukia melted into the kiss, her arms wrapping around his neck. It was soft, but firm. His mouth was gentle, his tongue slick as it slid across her bottom lip. She opened her mouth, letting him in. Her tongue snaked out to meet his, the two fighting for dominance. Ichigo won easily, exploring her mouth. After what seemed like forever, they broke apart, panting slightly from lack of oxygen. They were silent after that, Rukia laying down on his chest and his arms wrapping around her, his thumb tracing warm circles between her shoulder blades. "I'm sorry you miss Soul Society, Rukia. I wish I could do something, but I can't. Unless you can contact Soul Soceity, or go back some time with Renji or Histugaya or somebody. If there's anything I can do, tell me. I'll do it." He promised her.

Rukia smiled, resting her head against his chest. "Thank you, Ichigo. And I think you're right." She said.

Ichigo looked at her, grining. "Right about what?"

She laughed softly. "About not being able to be sad in a hammock." She replied.

He kissed her forehead. "I love you, Rukia." Ichigo said.

"I love you too, Ichigo." She replied, sitting up to peck his lips.
