Prologue

SNOWBALL EFFECT

A figurative term for a situation where something once small and relatively insignificant grows exponentially becoming larger, greater, and more serious.

"Are you really breaking up with me?" He looked shocked, almost offended.

"Yeah," I said nodding slowly, "It's not you, really, it's me. I haven't been feeling this to be quite honest."

"What do you mean by this? Alex, if this is one of your stupid games—"

"You see, this is where it all goes wrong. You don't appreciate the little things. You're a little too uptight when I fool around with you. You just can't keep up with me. So yeah, scratch what I said before. It's not me, it's you." I smiled innocently. I noticed his eyes becoming glossy. I almost felt sorry for him. Almost. "Think of it this way, you're single now, I'm single now! Time to live it up, my friend. Anyway, now that I've said all that needs to be said… I've really got somewhere to be." I watched him for a while, waiting for him to respond.

He didn't. He just stared at me, his mouth slightly ajar. I guess I would be a little shocked if someone suddenly broke up with me like this. It's even worst when we fought so hard just to start this relationship.

But it's life. He'll get over it.

I gave him one last smile and then walked away.

I was in my car when I saw him on his knees still looking at my direction; I smirked and blew him a kiss. "Have a nice life, pal."

I AM SO EXCITED! I haven't wrote in a while. So to open up my writing senses I decided to do this cute fluff story! It's Nalex obviously (delusional shipper since '07) and it will be so cute you'd want to cry. :) I was actually inspired by some of the Nalex ff here. I adored them so much that I decided to write my own and I had an idea for a while but I didn't know where to go with it but I stumbled back to this website and found a bunch of cute ffs. It's complete fluff, I'm telling you now. Except I like to have a bit of a twist to my fluff. A bit. I don't know if you'll consider it only a bit of a twist too but it's a twist nonetheless.

Also have you noted that I did not say the guy's name in the Prologue? I kinda want to confuse you guys about who it is. It could be Nick or it could be someone different. You decide. You won't find out until the end obviously, so stick around! I promise I won't bore you to death.
