Carlisle's Birthday
Esme's POV
I was in my office all night thinking of what to get Carlisle for his Birthday we haven't celebrated it in so long. Emmett and Rosalie already got his present so has Jasper, Alice, Edward, Bella, and Renesmee. Then I got an idea and I smiled.
Carlisle's POV
I looked up from my book and saw Esme's beautiful face smiling back at me "hello love" I smiled "do you know what day it is dear?" she asked excitedly. I thought for a moment "no I'm afraid I have the slightest idea "I said apologetically. "Happy Birthday!" my family yelled "oh you shouldn't have really" I stated. "but we wanted to dad you've done so much for us" smiled Alice "now open Edward and Bella's gift first" she smiled pushing them forward. The wrapped item was shaped as a book I looked at it curiously and opened it "we put all your old documents you gathered into a book so they won't get damaged" smiled Edward and Bella. I was deeply touched "thank you so much" I smiled at them. "Now this one is from me, Jasper, Emmett, and Rosalie" grinned Alice. Knowing Emmett it's probably a joke toy or something I opened it and it was a book called Vampire Jokes I chuckled "thank you" I smiled. Then Renesmee crawled onto my lap and handed me a card it looked home made it said (Happy Birthday grandpa I love you –Renesmee) the card just warmed my heart "thank you so much Nessie I love it" I said kissing her on the cheek she put her little hand on my face and smiled "I love you too Nessie" I said.
Esme's POV
After everyone left I cuddled up to Carlisle "happy birthday love" I smiled he put his arm around me and squeezed me gently "thank you so much my dearest Esme this meant so much to me" he said stroking my face. "But you haven't opened up my present yet" I smirked "oh? And what would that be?" he asked "well how about we go on a little trip to Isle Esme?" I smiled. He kissed me "it sounds like a wonderful idea my sweet Esme" he smiled kissing me again. "Happy birthday Carlisle I love you" I whispered "and I love you forever" he smiled.
