Falcon's Past
Falcon's Past
Ah, soaring in the mountains, flying in circles, this is how a falcon is meant to live.
"Falco!"
Except for that.
"Falco, come down here! Aw come on Falco, you know cats can't fly!" Katt's voice echoed in the skies. I knew where she was, but I wasn't coming down.
"Falco, come here! Come on, let's go!" She called out to me. I tried my hardest to ignore her, but something else was pulling me down. I tried to resist the force, but gave up and I flapped down to the tree where Katt sat waiting for me.
"What took you so long?" She smiled at me. Katt's glossy black pelt shined in the sunlight. For some reason, she took no interest to the other rouge cats like herself, but always looked out for me. Sometimes she would hunt lots of food, and ask me to come over to her den for a 'big surprise'. I usually took the offer, but never really used that time to understand her better. When it was time for me to migrate, she'd actually climb up to my nest and move me into her den. Along with that, Katt hated breeding season, so she'd trap me in her den until it was over. Katt and I have an odd relationship, and I'm definitely not going to take it far.
"Are you coming over for dinner tonight?" She asked me. She flicked her tail mischievously on my head. My expression changed from annoyance to regret for bothering to come here.
"Maybe, maybe not." I stated without feeling. "You've got to come! I have a surprise for you!" She meowed.
"What, will it be making me into Falco soup?" I questioned more excitingly. She gasped.
"Never! I wouldn't cook my friend!" Katt protested. "Well, okay." I replied naughtily. "Will you come?" She brought up again.
"Okay, but it better be good." I muttered. "It will be, trust me." Katt finished. I was in my flying position and was going to take off, back to my nest high in the mountains. I pushed my legs off, yet I wasn't lifting...
"I got you!" Katt giggled as I realized she had grabbed my talons. I shook her off, but she didn't seem angered. Katt just giggled again. "Carry on feather-head; I'm letting you go this time." She released my talons and waved her tail as farewell. I grumbled a quick good-bye and flew off to my nest to wait for nightfall, because there I would make my choice to stay or go.
