Looking through the scope of my bow, I almost took my clear shot when the ringing of my phone caught my attention. I pressed the button on my bluetooth to answer.
"Good afternoon, Mrs. Maynard." I answered, focusing back on my target.
"Ruby, dear it seems my son has gotten himself into a slight problem."
"Such as?"
"He failed to kill a target."
Faltering, I missed my target. My arrow lodged itself into the straw umbrella above my target's head. I ducked down and hid behind the ledge.
"He what?!"
"I did not stutter." The elder woman said sternly.
"Of course, mum." I focused back onto the man's head." I was only taken back a bit."
"I would like to request your assistance."
"Of course. How would you like me to take care of this?"
"Find Victor and talk some sense into him, he seems to ignore any of my words."
"It will be done." I let the arrow fly." Goodbye Mrs. Maynard.
"Goodbye, Ruby."
I packed my bow and arrows as fast as I could into a case that looked like a hitchhiker's pack and switched into a ball cap, tank, shorts and pulled out my cellphone and earbuds.
I snuck back into the building and took the elevator down to my bike. I checked the schedule on my phone to see I didn't have anymore appointments for the rest of the week.
Opening a cellphone tracking app that cost me a pretty penny, I typed in the numbers and watched the signal catch.
"Well looky there." I smiled.
