Summary: What Rory should have done after Honor's phone call.

A/N: This is old and very unbeta'd but since it was growing dust on my computer I figured 'why not upload it?'

The noise from the dining room filtered into the sitting room. It was a good day and Rory was celebrating it with friends, family, and Sookie's famous Thanksgiving dinner. She had been happy.

A call from Honor wasn't completely unexpected. She'd become fairly close to Logan's sister. The content of her call was a complete surprise. She hadn't spoken to Logan since their fight and she didn't breaking up then. Did he just decide they were done without even talking to her? How dare he? How dare he think he could just decide they were through?

Rory slowly worked herself into a snit. She jumped up from her seat and paced the floor. Her jaw was clenched and she knew she was going to have indents in her hand where it grasped her phone. Furiously she dialed his cell.

"Rory?" He answered after the second ring.

"So we broke up? Were you going to tell me about it or just wait until someone else slipped it into conversation?"

"Rory, what are you talking about? You were there, remember?"

"I don't recall ever breaking up."

"Did you forget the big blow up we had in the middle of the Pub? If you've forgotten then there's an entire restaurant worth of people who can describe it for you."

"Logan, we had a fight. Couples have them everyday. It's part of a relationship." Sometimes Rory forgot that this was Logan's first serious relationship. He was so perfect most of the time. He never forgot an important date and he never ignored her. He had the knack of making her feel cherished and treating her like one of the gang at the same time. He wasn't just her boyfriend. They were friends, too.

"Rory, we almost tore each other's heads off in the middle of the Pub."

"Okay, so we had a bad fight. That doesn't mean we're broken up."

"It doesn't?"

"I don't want to break up. I love you. One very stupid fight isn't going to change that."

"Me too."

"You too?" Rory couldn't keep the hope out of her voice. She didn't want to push him. She always pushed and every time it screwed things up. She didn't want to screw this up.

"Yeah, me too." It was as close to admitting his feelings as he was ready for but he hoped she got his meaning. He was an idiot for not saying the words but they kept getting stuck in his throat, kind of like the bland, dry turkey he'd just eaten.

"So, I'll see you this weekend?"

"Unless my family forces me into murder suicide you bet. I'm starting to think Lizzie Borden had the right idea." Logan glanced toward the door of his suite. He could hear his parents arguing from the other side of the house. They had started arguing during the second course and weren't showing any signs of slowing down.

"Just don't kill Honor. We have plans for shopping. And tell her we're not broken up before she decides to kill you."

"I will. Night, Ace."

"Goodnight, Logan. Happy Thanksgiving."
