1 Broken Hearts

My hero, tall, dark, and handsome – well dark in a sense…
He could have saved the world – but he chose to destroy it.
I wish he was still here with me – but then again, I don't.
He claimed to have loved me – but if you love someone do you purposely break their heart repeatedly?
If you love someone do you shatter their dreams just because you *feel* like it?
Do you tell them you love them then bring home some other girl the next night?
I think not.
I thought that he was just using me for his dark plans for a long time.
I know now his love was real – he just didn't know how to show it.
I went to see him the last night of his life.
He looked so powerless and weak there in his cell yet he looked like the boy I fell in love with.
He told me this was the end and that he was sorry for everything he put me through.
My love said he never meant to hurt me.
I could barely believe he was apologizing.
I remember asking if he had went mad but he told me he was the sanest he's ever been.
I'm not quite sure I should have believed him.
I just hope he's still out there somewhere just waiting for the right time to return.
This time I wouldn't refuse the dark side.
If only I could see him once more…
