The Yearly 365 Challenge

Prompt #99 (Word) Meek

"What did you say to Betty!" Veronica demanded in a low voice as she glared into the hard eyes in front of her.

Valerie just smirked as she leaned against the wall.

"Tell me now." Veronica demanded as she raised her right hand to shove against Valerie's right shoulder.

"Don't touch me Lodge." Valerie replied in a hard voice. "I'm not in the mood to be touched."

Veronica stepped closer. "I don't fucking care what you feel right now Valerie. Now tell me what you said to Betty!" She pressed her hand against Valerie's shoulder with each word. Hard.

"Don't Valerie." Josie spoke from where she was sitting on the couch in the corner. "It's not worth a fist fight."

"You are very lucky that Josie and Melody are here right now; Veronica. Otherwise you would be on the floor right now nursing a broken jaw." Valerie hissed.

Veronica eyes harden. "What did you say to Betty!" She demanded one more time.

"Nothing." Valerie rolled her eyes. "I just said that she was a meek person. I wasn't being insulting … not fault that Betty doesn't have a tough shell."

Veronica stiffened. "You lie. Betty wouldn't be upset for being called meek … what did you say to her?!" She pushed on other girl's shoulder harder than before.

Valerie stepped closer to Veronica. "That is all I said to your precious Betty; Ronnie. That is it. Not my fault she's extra sensitive right now." She pushed Veronica's right shouler with her shoulder as she moved pass. "If we aren't going to have Pussycats practice then you have no reason on being here Veronica; so leave." She walked and sat down on the couch next to Josie.

"That's not fair. Veronica is our friend also. She doesn't just have to hang with us due to the Pussycats." Melody jumped in.

Veronica smiled kindly at the blonde. "It's all right Mel. I don't want to be here any longer right now anyway." She looked over at the couch where Valerie was still glaring at her. "Perhaps down the line us four will hang together without Pussycats duties. But it's not time for that yet." She walked towards the door that led out of the garage; "See ya Josie." She nodded to the quiet red head.

"Later." Josie half waved.

"By Ronnie." Melody called out.

Veronica turned and smiled at the blonde. She left without saying good bye to Valerie.
