Cirno was annoyed. She had heard a couple of fairies talking, saying that she, with the title of 'Strongest in Gensokyo' wasn't really the strongest after all. They kept prattling on, saying that Yuka was the one who really deserved the title. Of course, the fairies that had been spouting this ran away when Cirno beat them up, but their words stuck with Cirno, and they irritated her to no end. "Arrgh..if that's what people are saying, then I'll fight Yuka and prove to everyone that I am the strongest!" Cirno shouted to herself as she flew toward the sunflower fields.
After a few moments, Cirno spotted Yuka wandering around the sunflower fields with a parasol in hand. She didn't look that strong, so Cirno grinned and flew over to her. "Hello! I'm Cirno, the strongest in Gensokyo!" "What do you want? Whatever business you have with me, you had better hurry up with it. You'll make the flowers wilt with your ice." "Arrgh!" Cirno yelled in frustration. "I've heard a few people talking, saying that you're stronger than me." "I seeā¦and you're unhappy about that?" "Of course I am! That's why I'm calling you out, right here, right now! We'll settle this!" Yuka sighed. "Fine. But let's move away from the flowers. I don't want your ice attacks freezing them to death." Cirno sighed. "Fine."
Cirno quickly moved out of the sunflower fields and over to a clear spot in the meadow, with Yuka slowly trailing along. "You're rather slow, aren't you? Are you sure you can beat me like that?" Cirno grinned. "We shall see." Suddenly, a huge yellow flower spell sign appeared behind Yuka, and she, grinning like a madman, sent off thousands upon thousands of yellow sparks at Cirno. "Shit!" Cirno tried to dodge them all, but she couldn't, and eventually, she collapsed on the ground, bruised and battered. "Had enough yet?" Yuka asked, stopping the yellow barrage for a moment.
Cirno grinned through the pain and shouted "Of course not! The strongest in Gensokyo can take more than this!" And with that, Cirno got up and threw a couple of ice spells over at Yuka. Yuka, however, opened up her parasol, which blocked the spells. However, the spells did manage to rip the parasol. "Ah! You broke my parasol...and this was my favorite one too." Cirno laughed and pointed at Yuka. "That's what you get for trying to tangle with the strongest!" Yuka glared at Cirno, and before the fairy knew what was happening, she was tied up in a mess of flowers and weeds. No matter how hard she struggled, she couldn't get free.
"Now sit there and think about what you did! You're lucky that I don't blast you to a million pieces right here!" Yuka yelled before storming off. "Hey, wait a minute! Untie me before you run off!" Cirno, after twenty minutes of hard struggling, managed to get one hand free and use and ice spell to make the plants die and free the rest of her body before running off. From then on, even though Cirno wouldn't admit it, everyone knew that Yuka was the strongest in Gensokyo.
