The room was spinning. There were people everywhere. Elphaba was lost, confused! Fiyero promised she would have a good time at the Ozdust Ballroom, he promised he would teach her how to dance, and then he got swept away in the music and the crowd. "Fiyero!" Elphaba called, pushing her way through more people. "Where are you?" She was almost to the point of tears. Galinda had even agreed that a night out would be fun. Somehow, Galinda was okay when Fiyero broke up with her, and even was ecstatic when he invited Elphie to the Ozdust. Tonight was supposed to be perfect…

Three nights before, Fiyero had walked up to Elphaba and simply invited her to go dancing at the Ozdust Ballroom that Friday. Elphaba of course said yes; who would turn down an invitation like that from their biggest crush? She had the entire night planned out. She was going to stay with Fiyero the whole night, and he would show her all the most modern dances, and everyone would be jealous of her. Then, at the end of the night he would tell her how beautiful she was, and she would admit how she felt for him, and they would live happily ever after. Yeah, right.

After another ten minuets of misery, Elphaba started to move towards the exit, just wanting to get out. Of course then, a popular song had to come on and a sea of teenager and young adults was suddenly suffocating her. Some person had their foot stuck out at an odd angle, and Elphaba tripped, flying forward. Instead of hitting the hard ground though, she found herself in Fiyero's arms, and he was quietly laughing. She blushed, realizing that she had just fallen on him, and looked up into his sapphire eyes. "I've been looking for you," he told her, his lips pressed against her ear so that she could hear him.

"I've been looking for you too!" She exclaimed, "There are just so many people and-"

"That's not what I meant," He cut her off, wrapping one hand around her back while his other hand took hers. "I've been looking for you my whole life." Elphaba blushed even redder, but let herself fall into him, placing her free hand on his shoulder. "Elphaba," he cooed, his voice low and perfect, so that she almost swooned, "You are the most beautiful girl in the world," She held his gaze, and pressed her lips to his, something she never would have been bold enough to do a minuet ago.

"Fiyero," she whispered, her chin on his shoulder, standing on her tiptoes, "I Love You."
