A/n: Heyyyy all! Griffin-queen back again with my second Sweeney Todd poem. I had just about as much fun writing this one, though I confused myself in some spots... not entirely uncommon for me, but always solved with a simple solution;. Lol. enjoy!

So handsome, there with your daughter, aged one.

You're young enough to be my son.

She stands by you, her hair like wheat

Never before has a girl looked so sweet

Your life, so perfect and without toil,

Your parlor smelling of lavender oil.

You'd swear by it, after you'd finished your work,

Shaving the face of the gen'ral store clerk.

As closing time comes, you lock up for the night,

Turning the key so the door closes tight.

You tread with blissful steps down a flight of old stairs,

Each one of them ridding you of daily cares.

You turn down your bed and climb in next to her,

Gasping only slightly as you see her stir.

She rolls as if she has been laying on nettles,

You kiss her pink lips, they are soft as Rose petals.

You both fall asleep, in a lover's embrace,

A night in your mind that you cannot erase.

Your dreams are all filled with sweet thoughts of the other,

When you were first wed, when she became a mother.

Benjamin Barker, I knew your name well

Before I was banished to long years in hell.

I'd sit in your parlor, in your barber chair,

Or sometimes I'd also be sweeping up hair.

Whatever the case, I was proud to be there,

Watching you work with your wonderful flair.

You'd never tire of your barbering job,

Come hell, high water, or angry mob.

I know all of these tales like the back of my hand,

It makes me think back to when life was just grand.

But you may continue to call me a sham,

For I'm not sure you'd want to know just who I am.

You'll never know me nor see me on the street,

I assure you quite soundly, we shall never meet.

Now, now mister barker, please don't think me odd,

When I mention to you, my name is Sweeney Todd.
