AN: This contains slight spoilers for Youngblood

Disclaimer: I do not own, but if I did Danny would be the main character

"Congratulations, Mr. and Mrs. Messer, it's a girl!" the doctor exclaimed. Danny's face paled as he remembered a case from awhile back. Having a daughter was one of his worst fears. When he noticed the question in Lindsay's eyes, he smiled reassuringly.

"I'm fine" he lied. The doctor went to go get the sonogram pictures of their baby girl. As soon as the door shut, Lindsay wheeled on Danny.

"You're not fine. What's wrong Danny?"

"I'm fi…."

"Daniel Anthony Messer don't you dare finish that sentence! You tell me what's wrong or I'll call Mac and Don to come and pry it out of you!" Danny sighed and sat on the bed next to Lindsay, knowing full well that she would call his two best friends.

"It's just… Do you remember a case when you first came to New York?"

"You mean the one at the zoo?"

"No, not that one, it was the Kinsey case." Lindsay thought hard for a moment before she slowly nodded.

"Yeah, but what… oh!" They sat in silence for a moment before Danny started talking again.

"I don't want our baby girl here to date someone three times her age. I mean that girl was 17 and she was knowingly dating a 50 year old guy. I don't want that to happen to little Montana here," he finished as he put his hand on Lindsay's ever-growing belly.

"That's not going to happen. No one would let that happen to her. With you as her father, she's going to be just fine."

"But Montana…"

"No buts cowboy. You are a great father for Tony and you will be just as great for this one," Lindsay replied as she held Danny's hands.

"Thanks Montana. You sure know how to make a cowboy feel better."

"No, I only know how to make MY cowboy feel better," she smiled. Danny laughed and leaned down to kiss his wife.
