Electrical sparks jumped from her fingers as she sat up with a gasp. She blinked quickly three times in succession and looked around. Her eyes were not yet accustomed to the gloom but she could hear the sound of crashing waves and feel the brittle sand shifting beneath her. A small ball of electricity crackled to life in her hand and lit her surroundings with an eerie blue glow. Elle's suspicions were confirmed, she was on a beach and covered in her own blood.

Five hours previous

Gabriel clenched his calloused hand over the lithe blondes tightly looking deep into her eyes he squeezed.... Hard.

"Your hurting me." She whimpered, looking into his dark eyes.

"I know." He replied menacingly. They both knew what was coming next.

Sylar had taken control, Gabriel had no power. She's worthless, she manipulated you, lied to you, she made you this way. The addictive little voice whispered in his head. Go on cut her open, see how she works, how those little blue sparks flash from her pretty little hands.

By now Sylar had complete control, it was like Gabriel was looking on from another's eyes. He fought furiously, trying to regain control. Desperation took over as Sylar lifted two fingers to Elle's head and ruby red drops of blood dripped down her forehead. He could hear her whimpering, hear the whispers that slipped past her pretty, blood stained lips.

"Gabriel... please... I love..." Her words faded away and her eyes rolled back. Suddenly the two fingers inflicting such torture upon the blue eyed blonde, clenched into a fist and a wailing noise escaped the man's throat. Gabriel had regained control.

All her could hear was Elle's raggedy, shallow breathing and the crashing waves behind him, all her could see was the blood, her blood, staining her hair and his shirt. He didn't know what to do, he was mad, no, he was furious... mainly at himself for allowing this to happen. He was a risk to Elle, his little broken angel with her little broken watch. He'd fixed her once before and now he realised the only way to fix her this time was to fix himself.

Previous time

Elle took a deep breath then stood up quickly, hissing as she did. Her head was spinning and her leg hurt like hell! She surveyed her surroundings, behind her, were some beach houses. It wasn't the summer so they wouldn't be in use. She grinned at her plan as it quickly formed in her head. There was only one problem, she had to get there.

It was agony! She limped as quickly as possible as the ground span beneath her. She reached the door of a wooden one levelled house and found it unlocked. She pushed the door open and stumbled through, landing with a light thud on the bed and drifted into a restless sleep.
