Chad's POV::
I just ate lunch but I was still hungry, so I decided to go to the cafeteria to get a burrito and a frozen yogurt then I saw her. I wanted to say hi but I was scared. Scared that she would just ignore me, or people would start talking about us. I mean, they could start rumors about me but not about Sonny.
"Son-" Dang! I shouldn't be afraid .
"Sonny!" Gravy, I mean Grady yelled from across the cafeteria. "Oh, Hey!" she waved at him and then he left. She went back on putting sprinkles on her yogurt.
Okay, this is my chance, I thought.
"What's up, Sonny?" I played it cool. But what can I say, I am cool and it comes naturally.
"The ceiling." Her voice was a pretty cold. Now, I'm scared.
"Haha, very funny." I said sarcastically. "Ya'know, I thought you have a great sense of humor but I was wrong." She didn't say anything.
"You're not in a good mood." I noticed.
She turned around and said, "You don't miss a thing."
"Do you want to talk about it?"
She shook her head and started walking away. I felt so bad for her, she looked tired and all.
"Sonny I'm sorry!" I yelled then she stopped and turned around in confusion.
"For what?" she said in a whisper.
"For being mean to you and your friends. You're right, I'm a jerk." I said the last word proudly.
"You are," then she smiled.
