By the time Alicia was back to the campaign bus it was already night. She had forgotten there some papers that she needed for the day after and even if all she wanted to do was to go back to her apartment she had to make a stop here first. It seemed dark inside, which reassured her that Peter wasn't there and thankfully she had the key so at least she could just take her stuff and go back straight home. She didn't notice at first that there was a car in the darkness of the parking lot until she heard her name being called by a voice she knew very well.

"Will?" What was he doing here?

"Are you really remarrying him?"

How could he know? Who did tell him? She had accepted Peter's proposal the night before. News fly quickly, she thought.

"It's for the best"

"The best of who?"

"Of everyone"

She tried to look convincing but probably wasn't because when Will walked closer to her she suddenly felt weak under his usual deep gaze. She didn't know who started it, if it was Will's lips that pressed on hers or if it was her mouth that moved first on his, but before she had the time to think her arms were already around his neck. When her hands met around him, she felt the huge stone of her engagement ring at her finger and even if Will knew it she considered that it was better to hide it so she slipped it out and hid it inside the pocket of her coat. When Will broke the kiss in need for air it didn't take her long to know what she wanted really. She looked around and when she was sure that nobody was around she opened the bus and walked in and with a smile she asked Will to follow her. When they were in, she pushed him towards the couch while quickly unbuttoning his pants.

Will looked at her for a moment, unsure if she really knew what she was doing. "Are you sure?"

"I've never been surer"

Will fell heavily on the couch while Alicia raised her skirt till it was out of the way, then she straddled him. She stroke him a few times with firmness even if it was clear that he didn't need it, he was already so hard. Then she stood up and sank back down around him with a loud moan.

Eyes into eyes, they gave into passion, as all the promises and all the vows got forgotten, broken in the same place they were spoken not more than twenty-four hours before. The fact that she was here with Will, making love to him, to the man she was really in love with, was the real answer to the question that Will asked her minutes before. Even if she was going to remarry Peter, she knew it wasn't the same, she knew that she wasn't remarrying him for love but for responsibility, because it was the right thing to do.

Lost in the moans and the groans of the lovemaking, they couldn't hear the door of the bus getting opened, they didn't hear Peter's heavy steps walking in and stopping right in front of them, in the dark they couldn't even see him at all, but he saw them very well. Peter saw his wife fucking the man he hated so much with a passion that she never had with him in years, not even after agreeing to remarry him again the night before. He knew in that moment that his wife would never be his again. Maybe her body, but her heart, that one would always belong to someone else, it would always belong to Will.
