If the Weasleys don't have that much money then how do they afford to have so much food on the table?
It came to me a 5am and wouldn't leave me alone so here it is.
From the Jellyfish~
Molly Weasley didn't have much.
She didn't have enough to provide for her children.
They struggled to pay for their schooling.
Could barely afford all the clothes and equipment.
There was one thing Molly Weasley could give her children though.
And that was a full stomach.
The majority of the food had been duplicated but the point was that her children looked at her with joy every time they saw that full table.
She looked up when the door opened and frowned when her husband slumped down in the chair next to her.
It was far worse this year.
Since Ginny was at Hogwarts now, none of the children were at home. So they didn't have to hide the situation.
Molly got up and made a watery cup of tea for Arthur before grabbing a piece of stale bread.
He smiled slightly at her.
It was clear to everyone that he was exhausted, working day and night for seemingly no reason.
She closed her eyes for a moment before telling Arthur to cut down his hours.
He looked at her with shock and asked why.
She murmured something about getting another job herself so they were both working the same amount.
There wasn't any food on the table.
Not when her babies weren't home.
The two of them worked tirelessly taking any money they could.
If one of her children asked for something, they would get it.
She wouldn't have her babies going without.
Her children didn't ask for much though.
So she kept food on the table.
There was a problem with duplicating food though.
Which is what led to the infamous endless stomachs her sons had.
If you duplicate a loaf of bread, it doesn't matter how much you duplicate it, the total nutritional value will be equal to that of the original loaf of bread.
Molly Weasley didn't have much.
She struggled to provide for her children.
She can barely afford to send them to school.
But despite everything.
There was one thing she could do.
She could keep them happy.
And she could keep their stomachs full.
