Draco stared at the dark haired boy in front of him. Harry's green eyes were wide, his face opened and readable; he was utterly shocked. Dumbfounded. Confused.
Exactly where he was supposed to be, according to The Plan.

This was the point where Draco was then supposed to shudder; supposed to draw a hand across his face; supposed to seem to crumple in on himself. He would begin to speak in a soft, breathy voice. He would talk about being wounded, about being raised in all the wrong ways. He would say that he'd been cut a raw deal in life - just like Harry. That Harry had it better, because even though his parents were gone, Harry had still been told the Truth by the others who loved him in his parent's place.
And then Draco would look numbly at his hands, and let just the right amount of silence linger.
His eyes would swim in unshed tears, and his face would be a brave struggle to maintain a proper facade of dignity.
But one... two... perfect tears would escape - running like diamonds down Draco's perfect cheek.
And that's when Harry would lean in, just a little closer. Perhaps, just perhaps, their knees would touch - or the sides of their arms.

Then Draco would whisper his soft confession, that he had been chasing a lie his whole life. That he had been raised in a house paid for by the Dark Arts. That he had been nurtured on blood money. But he could see it now for what it was. All a lie... and then he'd let the silence once again linger, as he would let all the other unspoken confessions whisper themselves in Harry's ears.

And, according to The Plan, Draco would be In.
And Harry Potter and Dumbledore, and his precious Order would be as good as dead.

Draco stared at the dark haired boy in front of him. Harry's green eyes were wide, his face opened and readable; he was utterly shocked. Dumbfounded. Confused.
Draco leaned in, gently, and kissed him again.
One... two... perfect tears escaped his vice-like grip on his emotions.
And then he was gone, slipped back into the shadows, leaving Harry standing there clueless.

Because the problem with The Plan - was that the lie was all true.
