Dearest Neville,
The war is growing too dangerous for you to stay at Hogwarts. I'm going to the ministry tomorrow to set up the floo network from your dormitory to home. I expect you to be packed and ready to go no later than Sunday.
Love,
Augusta Longbottom
Gran,
I'm not going home. Hogwarts needs me here; the younger students need me to protect them. I'm the last person here to keep Dumbledore's Army going, and the Army needs a leader. I can't go and leave them here. I know that I can't protect them all, but I can damn well try. If I, their leader, just up and go at the first sight of danger, they will lose hope and that's the only thing they have that matters anymore.
I'll be fine Gran.
Love,
Neville Longbottom
Neville,
I want to tell you that you must come home. I want to scold you for being so reckless. But I need to tell you how proud I am of you. I've heard stories about what havoc Dumbledore's Army has been causing the Death Eaters at Hogwarts and while the thought of what could come from you standing up to the Carrows scares me, I must say that you are a true Gryffindor after all.
Love,
Augusta Longbottom
