Chapter 1- Truth or Dare?

I walked up to the Aphrodite cabin looking for Piper- I needed her scary charmspeak powers; a bunch of Hermes children thought it would be a good idea to steal Festus' head. Considering they hadn't been there when he had 'died' and I had no plans on telling them about my… reaction, it was pretty hard to get them to give it back.

Just as I reached out for the door handle the door flung open and Piper stumbled out landing on me and pinning me to the ground.

"Whoa, Piper- I'm flattered, but aren't you all for Jason and stuff?" I asked as she blinked over top of me.

"You wish, Valdez." She stood up and held out her hand for me, I took it and she hauled me up.

"I need your help." I said.

"So the great flaming Valdez needs my help? Was it hard getting off your pedestal?" she asked. I laughed half-heartedly.

"Ya, I guess. Some of the Hermes guys took Festus' head- can you help me get him back?" I asked. The look on Pipers face melted off and was replaced by one of concern.

"Oh, Leo are you okay?" she asked.

"Pshht, I'm sure they'll give him back. But for some reason my awesome Leoness isn't scary enough." I said jokingly.

"And there's the pedestal again. Come on Valdez, ill help." She started off to the Hermes cabin. When we got there Travis and Conner (the culprits) were heading out.

"Guys." Said Piper smiling at the twins. "Did you guys take Festus' head from the bunker?" the twins nodded and laughed a little. "Could you tell me where you hid it?" she asked.

"oh," said Conner. "we put it back- we got kind of bored. We're actually about to go to- umm," he turned to his brother. "Where are they again?" he asked.

"I think at Percy's." Travis turned to us. "everyone's playing truth or dare."

"And by everyone you mean…?" I said moving my hands in the this or that motion. Travis thought for a moment then began counting off people on his fingers.

"Percy, Annabeth, Nico, Rachel, Thalia and I think Jason." He said finishing with all fingers on his right hand up.

"We were just about to go join them. Wanna come?" I thought for a moment I'd been working almost nonstop on the flying ship, I deserved a break.

"ya." Said Piper before I could even form the words. "that be fun, right Leo?" I nodded then the window to the Hermes cabin opened and Katherine popped her head out and smiled at us.

"Hi." She said.

"Hi Kat." Said Travis and Conner turning to her. she sighed and dropped her head.

"I thought I asked you guys to stop calling me that." She said. "where are you guys going anyway?" she asked leaning on the window sil.

"To Percy's cabin, to play Truth or Dare." Said Piper. Katherine's eyes sparkled.

"Can I come?" she asked. Travis nodded and she climbed through the window and stood next to me. Travis and Conner linked their arms with Piper, then Travis did the same with Katherine's arm and began walking off. Katherine laughed and grabbed my hand as she got pulled away and we headed to Percy's cabin.
