"So how did your little date with Tyr go?" Rommie asked inquisitively.
"Disappointing." Beka sipped her coffee, "The date was fine, but afterwards was a letdown."
"How so?"
"You know all those big Gauss-rifles he collects? He's compensating for something else."
"Oh, so no fireworks?"
"Nope. In fact, nothing at all: I had to go back to my room and take care of it myself."
