My Prison
All alone, in the darkness of my mind,
No comfort, no release from this prison.
No one's there to help me, to hold me tight,
To whisper softly in my ear, gently,
Telling me everything will be okay.
I scream, silence echoing in my voice,
Unheard, lost in the worlds commotion.
But wait, now I see a pinprick of light,
A tiny ball of hope in this dungeon.
I feel calm, before the storm is unleashed,
My heart loses its cold exterior,
A tear escapes my eyes as they meet yours,
I feel love, hate, sadness and happiness,
New emotion is running through my veins.
I finally feel, all because of you,
My soulmate, my savior, my love, my life.
