The Confused and Impure World book 1: Salestrial Vanity

By Christopher Razor and Michael M.T.

Prologue

It's the seventh of September. The year, 2010. A young man the age of 16 lay in bed. He had a headache. He had long brown hair, a little below the shoulders, and he had eyes that would often change from blue to hazel and back. His name was Christopher Razor. But of course, everyone he knew called him Chris. He was thinking about his older brother. Well, he called him his brother, but in truth, they had no blood relation. The guy was a few months older and had moved in a couple years earlier after his mother became extremely Ill. His older brothers name was Michael. The guy was cool. He was a very good brother too him. But being a good brother wasn't the problem. The problem was, a year ago Michael had left to join the Marines. He had passed the test with flying colors and had never been home since. He had a younger brother as well, but his younger brother was more of an annoyance than anything. He laid thinking about it all. The war in Iraq had lasted much longer than anyone thought. Supposedly, the weapons of mass destruction were still at large, but few believed they existed. He wasn't sure what to think. All he knew was, his brother had been pulled into the war and had been in it for a year. How he hated this war. While he did enjoy excitement more than the average person, he previously couldn't care less about the war. That was until Michael was pulled in of course. He looked up at his ceiling. He was glad to have the top bunk. Michael weighed more than he did and it would've been awkward. No, Michael was never fat, but he was not small either. Chris looked outside and saw several shooting stars. 'huh. You don't see that everyday.' He said to himself. Chris was what you would call lazy. He didn't do a lot and didn't really care to. He, of course, was very unhealthy and out of shape. Polar opposite with Michael who was in the peek of shape he'd ever been when he left, no doubt better for it now. The sky was beautiful. Then he heard a loud explosive noise. "What the hell was that?!" Chris shouted on impulse. He got out of bed and ran outside. He slept in his clothes, too lazy to take them off, and ran outside after putting on his shoes. He had a deep since of good hearing. The doctors had told him so. Which was good to know. He headed straight towards where the noise had come from. It was also interesting to note that Chris also had Aspergers syndrome. Think ADD but a little different. It somehow was different then most, because he wasn't at all shy and was quite outgoing. He also had little fear when it came to stuff. He ran to the park and walked into the main open field of which was surrounded with tress. What he saw nearly floored him. "It's a Mech! A mother Fucking Mech! Jesus Christ!" He didn't know what to think. Mechs were only real in comic books, or so he thought. He looked up and saw another Mech above him. It pointed his gun at him…
