Love and the Night Sky

The sky lit up that night. She took the time to look up at it, taking a break from her practice and studies. The night sky had always fascinated her. The moon, the stars, all of it. Even on the worst of days, it would cheer her up. It was like her own magic, enchanting her like she would do in her practice. Most nights, she would stand outside on her terrace and stare at the night sky for a minute or two, but this particular night was different. So different, she lost herself deep in thought and didn't notice the sound of a knock or the door opening. That is, until someone tapped her shoulder. "Beautiful night isn't it." said a girl's voice. She turned to find a blue-haired woman behind her. "Oh. Hello there, Lana. I didn't hear you come in." said the girl's voice. Lana giggled. "Lost in thought, Sonya?" "I guess so." Lana walked over to Sonya's side. "What happened to studying?" Sonya faced towards Lana. Both of their purple eyes met. " I studied for a bit. I just wanted to look at the sky and when I did, I couldn't look away." "What were you thinking about?" "What?!" Sonya's eyes widened. The question was so random and surprising. Lana had never asked such a question. As Sonya thought Lana's question, her cheeks flushed a red color. "I knew it." The words were strong enough for Sonya to get out of thought. "You were thinking about him weren't you, Sonya." Lana said. Still, no words came off Sonya's lips. Lana was right. She was thinking about the one she loved. All Sonya could do was look away from Lana's eye and back up at the sky. Finally, she sighed and said "Yes." Lana places a hand on Sonya's shoulder. "Then why don't you go after him?" "Because, I belong here with you and Cia. You guys are my sisters, and I can't abandon both of you. It wouldn't feel right to me." "That's preposterous. Why would you ever think that?" Silenced followed the question. Lana looked at her sister with eyes thirsty for answer. Sonya was a bit melancholic at the question. All she could do was sit there, silently, and look at the star. The few minutes of silences seemed an eternity. Funny how that works. "Is it because Cia and I are forbidden to love the one we love?" A tear starts to starts to fall on Sonya's left cheek. She knows that's the reason she doesn't want to love or be loved. Sonya's tries her hardest not to give in, but the tears overwhelm her. She collapses on her knees, and the tears start rushing down her face. The sudden action frightened Lana for a second before she realized what was going on. Lana felt extremely bad and sorry for her younger sister. To make up for it, she did a sister act of love. Lana says done on her knees and embraced Sonya. "You shouldn't let our problem stop you, Sonya. Do what your heart desires." They embraced longer as Sonya wanted on Lana's shoulder before they looked up at each other, and Lana wipes the tears off her sister's face. "Don't you want love too?" Sonya asked, her voice portraying sadness. " Yes, but I can't love the hero who is bound to the princess. Please don't let this pity stop you from doing what you want to do." Lana said, sincerely. "I'll try not to let it get to me." The next day, Sonya left after breakfast in search for the man she loved. "Where in the goddesses is she going?" Cia asked. "To do what her heart desires, Cia." "I have it you guys talked?" "Yes" "What was the problem?" "Us and our forbidden love for the hero." Lana replied. "Oh. I see." Sonya continued her search for Volga. Little did she know, he was out doing the same thing?
