This is my first ever fan fiction, so please review and tell me what I can improve on. Or, just review and say what you thought. I won't be upset if you say you don't like it so feel free to get nasty! Thanks!

Lily Evans was sitting alone in the Gryffindor common room studying Transfiguation. This would have been totally normal if it hadn't been Christmas vacation and if she had some urgent work to do. She had been going at it for quite awhile, until the portrait door opened and one James Potter walked in. Now, had this happened just a few years earlier, it would have resulted in an epic yelling match. However, since this was their seventh year, it went much differently.

((AN: This next paragraph basically just says that they're friends now and in their 7th year))

James and Lily had actually become friends, much to the surprise of anyone who had ever witnessed one of their many fights. After the incident with Severus Snape in their Fifth Year, James just stopped talking to Lily. Sure, he apologized non-stop for about a week afterwards, but when she never acknowledged his presence he finally gave up. Partially out of guilt, partially out of respect, but mostly just because of exhaustion. They didn't say a word to each other their whole sixth year, because Lily was being stubborn and James was being consistent. In their seventh, he became the Head Boy to Lily's Head Girl. They agreed to be civil to each other and ended up becoming friends. They found that they quite enjoyed each other's company once James stopped constantly pestering Lily and Lily stopped finding fault with every aspect of James's existence.

That Christmas Holiday James and Lily were two of the few Gryffindors who had chosen to stay at Hogwarts. Lily wanted to get even more ahed in her studies and James's parents had insisted he and Sirius stay so they didn't trash the house any more. When James walked in to the common room, he immediately spotted the red head sitting in front of the fire.
"Hey Lils," he greeted her casually. She looked around startled, and then saw James and responded, "Oh, Hi James."
"Whatcha doin'?" he asked her playfully.
"Transfiguration," Lily said, rolling her eyes.
"Ew, why?" James asked her, only partly feigning disgust, "It's vacation and you already have O's in every class."
"Yeah well I have to keep that up, don't I?"
James sat down next to her on the couch. "Well, I think you should be having more fun," he stated. Lily sighed and closed her book.
"What do you suggest for fun?" she asked. James put on a thoughtful face that Lily fully knew was fake, and then surprised her by pouncing on her and tickling her like there was no tomorrow.
"James!" she breathed, "Stop it... Get off me... I hate you..."
"Never!" he yelled.
"Please!" Lily cried. At Lily's plea James stopped, only to realized that he was laying on top of one flushed, breathless Lily Evans. At that same moment Lily happened to noticed her attacker's position, which did nothing to help her breathing or the redness of her cheeks.
"Sorry," said James quietly.
"Oh, no, it's fine."
"I don't mean to-"
"It's no problem."
James stopped to observe Lily. He stared right at her just trying to figure her out. He wasn't sure if he was actually reading her singals correctly, and he didn't want to upset her in case he wasn't. "Oh come on," Lily said exasperatedly, before reaching her head up to reach James's lips with her own. James immediately responded, and they kissed for as long as they possibly could before absolutely needing to stop for air.
"So..." James said with a sly smile, "Having fun yet?"
