Lily Potter was currently meandering down a dark Hogwarts corridor, running her finger tips over the stone walls while heading in the general direction of the main doors.

It wasn't quite curfew yet, she had about a half hour, but right now, curfew didn't matter.

Slipping through the open doors she stopped to breath the night air before walking again. Honestly, Lily was probably going to get locked out but she had decided not to care. She had to not care.

Taking a deep breath of the night air Lily sped up her walking, it was time to stop stalling. When she was on the edge of the forest she heard a yell. With a glance over her shoulder she confirmed her suspicions, it was Albus. He was going to tell her that she didn't have to do it, that it had been a joke, probably just because she was his "little sister". Ignoring his shouts, which were getting closer, Lily squared her shoulders and walked into the forest. She was going to find it.

Hours later, Lily was scared. She was cold and she could have sworn she just heard something way too close for comfort. She didn't care about finding it anymore, she just wanted out of this forest. Hearing a stick break, Lily started sprinting, she ran as fast as she could ducking and jump over stray tree limbs until she couldn't run anymore. Hunching down and placing her hand on her knees she looked at the ground, breathing hard.

Merlin, she didn't think she would breath properly ever ag- was that what she thought is was? Did she really truly find it? Forgetting about everything she fell to her knees and brushed the dirt off the shiny stone in her hands. Her brothers would never believe it.

Lily thought back to all the stories her dad had told her and her brothers. The story of this stone was one the three of them had had to coax and cajole out of him and still they thought he might have lied about dropping it in the forest.

How was she supposed to use it though? Dad had said he'd just thought about the ones he had lost. The problem was Lily didn't really know anyone who had father and mother both knew so many and they made sure Lily, Albus, and James knew about those peoples sacrifices, maybe if she choose one of them?

Making a decision, Lily closed her eyes and held the stone tight in her hands, then she thought about how she felt every time she heard the sad story of Cedric Diggory.

"Umm...Hello?"

Lily's eyes shot open, it had worked, there was a silvery boy from the past standing in front of her...now what was she supposed to do?
