Lost in the Dark
Author: Okay, here's a one-shot I thought of. Enjoy.
Inuyasha walked through the forest towards the village. Tonight seemed darker than other nights. Stars and the Moon were unseen. Silence surrounded him. However, instead of questioning the silence as he usually would have, he used the precious time to sort his thoughts.
"Dammit. I love Kagome, but yet I promised Kikyo I'd go to hell with her....I don't want to leave Kagome....but..." He sighed. So many feelings, emotions, desires, and hopes overwhelmed him. "Damn!" he shouted, scaring a flock of birds from the trees.
'Okay, think, Inuyasha....' he told himself.
'When I'm with Kikyo, I feel like I have to be with her. She..she died because of me. I owe my life to her...but...
When I'm with Kagome...'
He walked in silence a few more yards. The scents of the village were growing stronger.
He tried to think about what life would be without the two.. 'I've made it so long without Kikyo.. And when I'm around her, I sorrowful....'
He made his way up the path to the huts.
'And without Kagome,....well, she's my light-my sunshine.' He thought as he quickly walked up the final steps and entered Kaede's hut, just to see everyone asleep. Kagome lay near the fire cradling Shippo.
'Without her, I'd be lost in the dark...'
Lame ending, yes I know ......anyways...if I find a more sane time, I'll revise..until then, DEAL WITH IT...lol
