The wind is blowing warm today, thought Allie as she sat on the front porch of the white house. She waited patiently for Noah to return

home from work. Since the last encounter with Lon, she'd stayed with Noah. Even though there had been difficulties at first, they'd

worked through them and were considering getting married now.

"I love him so much, I just don't know when is a good time for marriage. I know I want my life spent with him, but it's only been a month

since I said bye to Lon. Noah and Istill have a lot of catching up to do," Allie told Catherine, her best friend,"After all, it's been fourteen

years!"

"Well Allie, I know you love him. You know you love him, and he knows you love him. If he loves you just as much he'll wait until you're

ready. Just give it some time and talk it over." She smiled and gave Allie a friendly squeeze on the arm and agentle smile," I know he

loves you, I promise!" Allie smiled at her, maybe she's right, we'll just talk it over. "I'm so sorry, but I have piano lessons in thirty

minutes and I have to go. Thanks for having me. It was great!" Catherine gave her a hug and started to walk down the stairs. When she

got to the car, she waved and got in. Allie watched her until the end of the drive, then she picked up the cups and went inside.

Noah got home around 5' oclock. As soon as he walked in, he smelt the sweet scent of apple pie. He put his things down and went

into the kitchen.God, she's pretty, he thought to himself. Allie was dancing around to the music coming from the old record player. Noah

walked in, grabbed her hand, and started dancing with her. She smiled at him.

"How was your day?" He asked as he kissed her cheek.

"Great! Catherine came over for tea and we sat on the front porch a while."

"Gossipping, no doubt!" Noah watched Allie's reaction. She glared at him, then turned to finish cleaning up the kitchen. "Oh, come on Al,

you know I'm just teasing! I'm sure you two had a lovely time together."

"I know...and yes we did." She gave him a kiss and said,"dinner is ready as soon as you set the table!" She smiled.

Later that night, she brought up the discussion she and Catherine had had.

"Noah, I was wondering... do you mind if we wait a while before getting married? I mean, I know thats what I want to do, but it's

alljust too fast! I mean we still need to catch up and discuss certain things, you know?" She looked at him, waiting to see his reactions

and response.

He sat for a minute, thinking of something to say, "Well Al, if that's what you want, then that's what we'll do." Considering I've just

waited fifteen years already, but sure a bit longer can't make a difference, he thought to himself sarcastically. She stared at him,

then smiled, "Oh Noah! I knew you'd understand!" She leaped on him. Great! he thought.
