This oneshot is what I wrote when my English teacher asked my class to write a Hemingway parody. If you don't know much about Hemingway, he usually writes short sentences, most of the story is told by dialogue, the main characters are men who drink, and the women are flat characters. My teacher liked this, so I assume I did alright. I just hope I did justice to Axel and Roxas. :D

Disclaimer: I don't own Kingdom Hearts. Or Hemingway.

Plans over a Drink

The Wyvern Bar in Agrabah looked like it was going to fall over. It was also in the seedy part of town. Not that its customers cared. Its bartender knew how to mix drinks.

The two young men in the corner both wore black trench coats, and both had spiky hair. The redhead looked settled. The younger one, a blond, looked uncomfortable.

The redhead smirked. "Roxas."

The blond glared. "What?"

"You're not drunk."

"And you are?"

"Yep."

Roxas sighed, and ran a gloved hand through his hair. "We finally going to change sides?"

"Yep. And you get to see Naminé."

"Axel, shut up."

"You love her." He sang.

"She's too good for me."

"Tell her that," Axel laughed. "Maybe she'll kiss you."

Roxas did not reply. He just stared at his friend's hair as it vibrated as he laughed.

Axel stopped laughing. "Demyx said he'll join us."

"Where is he?"

"Visiting his girlfriend in Atlantica. Don't see why."

"His element is water," Roxas reminded him.

"I know."

For a time, they both were silent, Roxas staring out into space while Axel drank some more beer. Finally, Roxas said, "The Superior will be mad."

Axel laughed. "All of Organization XIII'll be mad."

"They will try to kill us."

"Saix especially."

Roxas shivered.

"Hey, who cares? They hav'ta catch us first. Anyway, we're good guys now."

"Good guys can die."

"Sora an' his friends're good guys. They haven't died yet."

"Whatever."

"Ya know, I think you're drunk now." Axel said. "And ya seem to be a emo drinker. Not like me."

"Maybe." Roxas sighed. "Let's go before something bad happens."

"Right with ya." Axel downed the last of his drink and followed Roxas out the door and into the stifling heat.

A/N:

I hope it showed that Axel kept getting even more drunk as time passes. I've never written a scene when someone got drunk, so if people could tell me what they think, that would be good. So, yeah. Review, please!
